1. What will be the themes for every round?
Speech theme for Preliminary Round is "The Influence of Curiosity on Global Advancement". Speech theme for Semi Final Round will be given on Friday, September 27th 2024 (after Top 10 Announcement). Speech theme for Final Round will be given on Saturday, September 28th 2024 (after Top 5 Announcement).

2. How long perform’s duration for every round?
Duration for Preliminary Round is 4-6 minutes.
Duration for Semi Final and Final Round is 3-5 minutes with extra 30 seconds to end the speech.

3. Can I bring notes while delivering my speech?
No Notes are allowed to bring while performing on every round (Preliminary, Semi Final and Final Round).

4. For some reasons, I can’t join the competition, but I had paid registration payment fully. Can I do refund?
a) The committee of EIA XXIII (2024) will not provide any refund for those who are quitting the competition or disqualified for any reason. Participants may do replacement along with this problems.
b) The participations who have been registered online can be replaced  with a new participant but it can be allowed ONLY in the same branch competition, at the latest on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 by sending the request of replacement to EIA XXIII (2024) Speech Competition’s e-mail address : speecheia@gmail.com with the following subject: Replacement - Speech Competition and the following format body mail :

c) Any kind of related document that supports the participant’s reason must be attached within the email (e.g. signed medical permit from hospital, participant can send the document in an image form/PDF form). If the committee finds the reason as an acceptable reason, then the committee will send the approval of replacement request to the participant’s e-mail address.

5. When should I submit my speech text and video?
For the Preliminary Round, the participants must submit their soft copy of the Speech text and their video before the deadline to be assessed. The participants must send the email which attach their video link and softcopy speech text for the Preliminary Round. The submission period start from Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 00.01 until the latest on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 22.00 WIB. On Semi-Final and Final Round, softcopy of the speech text must be submitted the latest at 08.30 WIB after themes are given and will be continue with Live Zoom Performance and QnA session.

6. Is there any rules for the video?
The video SHOULD NOT be edited and the video resolution should be minimum of 720 pixel and the video ratio must be 16:9. The video must be taken landscape.
